Model Imaan Hammam has given a Saudi fashion label a public lift after sharing a birthday gift from JAY3LLE with her followers. The Dutch-Moroccan-Egyptian model turned 30 on October 5, and the Riyadh-founded brand was among those that marked the occasion.
Hammam posted the handwritten note that arrived with the apparel to her Instagram Stories, where she has about 1.8 million followers.
JAY3LLE was launched by Princess Noura bint Faisal Al-Saud, who serves as the label’s chief executive, together with Swedish creative director Johan Lindeberg. A post from a model of Hammam’s standing puts the young brand in front of an international fashion audience that rarely sees Saudi labels in its feeds. It also links a Riyadh business with one of the best-known faces of Arab heritage working on the global catwalk circuit. The gift was clothing from the label, sent with a personal handwritten note that Hammam chose to share.
The brand’s gesture arrived alongside a wave of tributes from across the industry. Designer Jeremy Scott, along with models Winnie Harlow, Jourdan Dunn and Christy Turlington, all posted birthday messages for Hammam. The list reflects a career that began early. She made her runway debut at Jean Paul Gaultier’s couture show in 2013, opened a Givenchy show at the age of 17 and appeared on a Vogue cover before she turned 18.
Her recent appearances show how firmly she remains part of the top tier of the business. In September she wore a Versace catsuit at Vogue World: Milano, and in June she walked in an all-white look at Jacquemus’s “Le Bonheur” show in Corsica. Outside modelling, she has built a cultural project of her own. In 2025 she launched Ayni, an archival initiative that highlights Arab film, art, music and literature, giving her a platform that reaches beyond fashion and into the region’s creative history. For Saudi fashion, the episode shows the value of personal connections with internationally known talent. Homegrown labels in the Kingdom have been working to build recognition outside the Gulf, and an unprompted share from a model with Hammam’s profile offers exposure that paid campaigns struggle to match. Neither JAY3LLE nor Hammam has announced any formal collaboration, and the post so far stands as a birthday exchange. Still, it places a Riyadh label in the same conversation as the European houses that have shaped her career.
