Shamsheer Vayalil's Burjeel Holdings Places LLH, Lifecare and Medeor Under One Leadership

Burjeel Holdings, the healthcare group founded and chaired by Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, has brought its LLH, Lifecare and Medeor brands together under a single leadership structure. The move is designed to widen access to affordable medical care across the UAE, tighten operations and support sustainable growth, while each of the three brands keeps its own name and patient base.

Dr Narendra D Sonigra will run the newly combined platform, which forms part of Burjeel 2.0, the group’s wider transformation programme. The consolidated network in the UAE spans six internationally accredited hospitals and 24 medical centres and clinics, with more than 500 beds and over 2,400 healthcare professionals. In 2025 the facilities recorded more than 2.3 million outpatient visits, and in the first half of 2026 they contributed 22.7 per cent of Burjeel Holdings’ revenue.

The three brands will continue to serve distinct groups of patients, including middle and lower-income residents and industrial workers. Rather than merging them into one name, the group is placing them under shared management while each keeps the identity its patients already know. Dr Shamsheer Vayalil, who is also chairman and chief executive of Burjeel Holdings, said the consolidation would allow the group to deploy resources more effectively and strengthen integration between its operations.

Growth plans form a central part of the restructuring. The group intends to build a new 75-bed LLH Hospital in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and to open more than 10 additional clinics across the country. Its outpatient sites are intended to work as entry points into the larger Burjeel network, so that patients who need specialised or complex treatment can be referred to advanced-care facilities such as Burjeel Medical City.

The change gives Burjeel’s affordable care business a dedicated leadership team and a defined role within the group, alongside the specialist hospitals that carry the Burjeel name, including Burjeel Medical City. With the three brands already generating 22.7 per cent of group revenue in the first six months of this year, the new Jebel Ali hospital and the planned clinics will test how far the platform can grow under a single management team. The restructuring also places the network at the centre of Burjeel 2.0, the programme through which the group is reshaping how its hospitals and clinics work together across the UAE.
